南京医科大学是国家“双一流”建设高校，首批教育部、国家卫生健康委与江苏省人民政府共建医学院校，江苏高水平大学建设高峰计划A类建设高校。学校创建于1934年，目前设有19个学院，拥有附属医院、区域医疗中心、教学医院、附属疾控中心等丰富的临床和公共卫生教学资源。
Nanjing Medical University is one of the "Double First-class" universities in China. It is one of the first medical universities jointly built by the Ministry of Education, the National Health Commission and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province. It is also one of the first-class universities in Jiangsu High-level University Construction Peak Plan. Founded in 1934, the university now has 19 schools, comprising abundant clinical and public health teaching resources such as affiliated hospitals, regional medical centers, teaching hospitals and affiliated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The university offers degrees in seven disciplines, including medicine, science, engineering, management, law, education and literature. In the latest round of national discipline evaluation, all the disciplines have steady progress. Fourteen disciplines are among the top 1% in ESI global ranking, among which clinical medicine, pharmacology and toxicology, molecular biology and genetics are among the top 1‰ in ESI global ranking.
学校拥有生殖医学与子代健康全国重点实验室、环境与人类健康国际联合研究中心、肿瘤个体化医学省部共建协同创新中心等50个国家级、省部级重点实验室（工程研究中心、创新中心）。拥有国内一流的医学模拟教育中心和江苏省医药动物实验基地，建有省内唯一的省级卫生政策智库-江苏省健康研究院。
The university has 50 provincial and ministerial key laboratories (engineering research center and innovation center) such as the State Key Laboratory of Reproductive Medicine and Offspring Health, the International Joint Research Center for Environment and Human Health and the Provincial and Ministerial Collaborative Innovation Center for Personalized Cancer Medicine. There is a first-class Medical Simulation Center and Jiangsu Animal Experimental Center of Medical & Pharmaceutical Research. It also has the Jiangsu Provincial Institute of Health, which is the only provincial health policy think tank in Jiangsu province.
江宁校区位于南京市江宁区大学城，占地面积1300亩，是行政、教学和科研中心。
Jiangning Campus is located in University Town, Jiangning District, Nanjing, covering an area of 1300 mu, and is a comprehensive center of administration, teaching and research.
五台校区位于南京市鼓楼区五台山南麓，占地120亩，是临床教学和研究中心。
Wutai Campus, located at the southern foot of Wutai Mountain, Gulou District, Nanjing, covers an area of 120 mu and is a clinical teaching and research center.
常州校区位于常州市武进区西太湖苏澳合作园区内，规划总占地1000亩，是南京医科大学主体校区之一，实行与校本部一体化办学模式，是学校深化“新医科”复合型人才培养和构筑未来医学科研高地的重要阵地。校区内将建成医工结合研究院、转化医学研究院、细胞与基因药物制备中心、医学大数据中心、临床生物样本库中心、医学研究公共服务平台等高水平创新载体。
Changzhou campus is jointly built by Nanjing Medical University and Changzhou Municipal People's Government. The campus is located in the West the Taihu Lake Su'ao Cooperation Park, Wujin District, Changzhou City, with a planned total area of 1000 mu. Changzhou Campus is one of the main campuses of Nanjing Medical University, implementing an integrated education model with the main campus. It is an important battlefield for the school to deepen the cultivation of "new medicine" composite talents and build a future medical research highland. High level innovation carriers such as the Medical Engineering Integration Research Institute, Translational Medicine Research Institute, Cell and Gene Drug Preparation Center, Medical Big Data Center, Clinical Biological Sample Bank Center, and Medical Research Public Service Platform will be built on the campus.
