On the corner of West Nanjing Road stands a vessel.
Call it a bathtub— She wears a shower cap, left hand steadying the brim, right hand holding a book, Words clear through the steam.
Call it a vase— Tulips stand tall, petals catching light, Roots breathing underwater.
It never explains itself. Water for bathing, flowers for spring.
She turns. Sees someone with coffee, looking this way. Their eyes meet for a second— Then she lowers her gaze to the crowd walking below.
Bathtub or vase, audience or none, The water stays warm.
Ease, perhaps, is simply this— Seen or unseen, all the same.

The world and I,one breath.
