南京医科大学药学院国际课程《药理学及其临床科学基础》即将开课!

依托南京医科大学国际课程平台，南京医科大学药学院邀请新加坡国立大学牙科、生命科学和研究生课程的部门教育主任Mitchell K.P. LAI（赖君鹏）开设《药理学及其临床医学基础》，课程将于2026年6月24日开启！

Relying on the international course platform of Nanjing Medical University, the School of Health Policy and Management is pleased to invite Dr. Mitchell K.P. Lai, Director of Education for the Departments of Dentistry, Life Sciences, and Graduate Programs at the National University of Singapore, to offer the course "Pharmacology and Its Clinical Foundations." The course is scheduled to commence on June 24, 2026.

课程描述 Description of Course

本课程旨在系统讲授药理学的基础知识与临床应用，为学生深入理解药物作用机制及药物开发流程奠定理论基础。在为期4天的课程中，内容涵盖药效学与药代动力学的基本原理，循证医学与临床试验的基本原则及实践方法，以及药物从实验室研发到上市的全流程相关知识。课程将通过理论讲授、小组讨论与案例分析相结合的方式，帮助学生建立从药物作用机制到临床应用的系统认知框架。课程评估方式包括课堂参与、作业完成情况及小组展示汇报，旨在提升学生在药理学领域的综合理解能力与科研素养。课程时间为6月24日至29日。本课程学分2分，总课时20学时。

This course is designed to provide a systematic introduction to the fundamentals of pharmacology and their clinical applications, laying a theoretical foundation for students to gain an in-depth understanding of drug mechanisms of action and the drug development process. Over the four-day course, topics will cover the basic principles of pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics, the fundamentals and practical approaches of evidence-based medicine and clinical trials, as well as the complete process of drug development from laboratory research to market approval. The course will combine lectures, group discussions, and case analyses to help students build a comprehensive framework connecting drug mechanisms to clinical applications. Assessment will include class participation, completion of assignments, and group presentations, aiming to enhance students’ overall understanding of pharmacology and their research competence.The course will be held from June 24 to June 29. It is worth 2 academic credits and comprises a total of 20 credit hours.

Dr Mitchell K.P. LAI (赖君鹏)

赖博士获得了加拿大阿尔伯塔大学生物科学学士学位；以及澳大利亚悉尼大学的医学博士学位，期间，他在Ian Spence教授的指导下研究痴呆症神经化学。此后，他分别在伦敦国王学院Paul Francis教授课题组、牛津大学Margaret Esiri教授课题组、加州大学洛杉矶分校Jeff Cummings教授和Harry Vinters教授课题组进行了访问博士后研究，同时他还被任命为新加坡中央医院临床研究部担任研究科学家，之后加入新加坡国立大学杨潞龄医学院药理学系，现任该系高级讲师，同时兼任英国埃克塞特大学、韩国成均馆大学客座教授。作为一名生物医学教育工作者，赖博士是药理学系牙科、生命科学及研究生课程的部门教育主任，并积极参与医学、护理、牙科和研究生学生的普通和专业药理学的课程设计和教学。作为一名生物医学研究者，赖博士专注于痴呆症神经化学、生物标志物及发病机制研究，这一核心方向贯穿其整个学术生涯，持续驱动着他的科研探索。赖博士目前是新加坡国立大学记忆、衰老与认知研究中心（MACC）首席研究员，他领导该团队的流体生物标志物、神经化学及动物模型研究工作。他在痴呆症神经化学与生物标志物领域发表了130余篇学术论文，h指数为47，并以首席研究员或合作研究者身份累计获得超过2000万新加坡元的科研经费支持。

Mitchell Lai received a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Alberta, Canada; and a PhD in Medicine from the University of Sydney, Australia, where he studied dementia neurochemistry under Prof Ian Spence. Thereafter, he did stints of visiting post-doctoral work at Kings College London with Prof Paul Francis; at Oxford University with Prof Margaret Esiri; and at University of California, Los Angeles with Profs Jeff Cummings and Harry Vinters, while also starting an appointment as Research Scientist with the Department of Clinical Research, Singapore General Hospital, eventually moving on to the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore where he is now Senior Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology. Additionally, he has visiting professorships with the University of Exeter, UK and Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea. As a Biomedical Educator, Mitchell is the departmental Education Director for Dentistry, Life Science and Postgraduate studies, and is actively involved in the curriculum design and teaching of general and specialized pharmacology to medical, nursing, dental, and postgraduate students. He is also interested in extending outreach efforts of the Department, serving as Director of the Youth Programme in Pharmacological and Biomedical Sciences where he designs and coordinates vacation short courses and seminars for visiting international students, as well as act as liaison between overseas institutions interested in exchange and partnerships with the Department. As a Biomedical Researcher, his major interests lie in dementia neurochemistry, biomarkers and pathogenesis. He is currently Principal Investigator with the Memory, Aging and Cognition Centre (MACC) at National University Health System, Singapore, where he leads the fluid biomarkers, neurochemistry and animal model research efforts of the group. He has published over 130 papers in the field of dementia neurochemistry and biomarkers, with a h-index of 47, and has received over SGD 20 million of research funding as Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator.
