Atmosphere Space 于2026年5月30日下午15点30分呈现由画廊与策展人王彦钧联合发起的在地艺术项目「南京气流」第一回「隐/蛰/蜗/宅不动」。项目从疑惑于南京艺术家“自闭隐士”的刻板想象出发，呈现出13位艺术家与生活状态相连，包括绘画、书写、雕塑、装置、数字等多种媒介的作品与方法。展览持续至2026年6月21日。Atmosphere Space present at 3:30 p.m. on May 30, 2026, the first edition of the site- specific art project 「Nanjing Airflow: Seclusion/Hibernation/Snail-dwelling/Otaku...」, co-initiated with curator Wang Yanjun. The project starts from a curiosity about the stereotypical image of Nanjing artists as “reclusive hermits,” and presents the works and methods of thirteen artists, closely tied to their states of living, across media including painting, writing, sculpture, installation, and digital art. 本次考察了从60后到00后的南京“隐士”艺术家案例，细化出四种具体的“隐居”类型：隐居、蛰居、蜗居、宅。每人主动或被动，往往混合了其中的两到三种，滋养或逼迫出艺术创作的不同态度和路径。This project examines cases of “hermit” artists in Nanjing from the 1960s to the 2000s, refining four specific modes of withdrawal: seclusion (yǐnjū), hibernation (zhéjū), snail-dwelling (wōjū), and otaku (zhái). Each artist, whether actively or passively, tends to embody a mix of two or three of these modes, which either nourish or pressure their artistic practice, leading to different attitudes and paths.

这些为时所迫又不合潮流的选择，更像是在各自的局限和恐惧之内主动直面孤独的演练。
But beyond these, the tradition of reclusion in Nanjing, an ancient capital of six dynasties, seeps into the air. But these choices, forced by circumstance and out of step with trends, feel more like exercises in facing solitude head-on, within one’s own limitations and fears.

If every artist’s path is inherently lonely, then by taking the primal loneliness of life as a shared foundation, can these “hermit artists” connect into a community of distant minds, to face the vaster emptiness beneath the currents of our time?
