The scenery of the Taihu Lake is breathtaking. On sunny days, the clear waters reflect the sun, with shimmering ripples; on rainy days, the misty rain creates a hazy atmosphere, with light and shadow intertwined. The scenery of Xiangshan is charming. In spring, the wilderness is filled with lush greenery, with layers of verdant mountains; in autumn, the cool breeze brings a refreshing sensation, with osmanthus flowers fragrant in the air.
以太湖为幕,以千年文脉为线,将香山帮的匠魂、园林的哲思与当代的审美意识,织就一幅可步入、可栖居、立体的江南长卷。
With the Taihu Lake as the backdrop and the millennia-old cultural heritage as the thread, the craftsmanship spirit of the Xiangshan School, the philosophical insights of gardens, and contemporary aesthetic consciousness are woven together into a three-dimensional, walkable and habitable Jiangnan scroll.
#01浮光引径,人景相和
Harmony between people and scenery
让空间拥有与自然共生的能力是“借景入境”的东方智慧,以光为界,让晨光覆于青瓦之上,勾勒出横向延展的界面,如缓缓展开的墨染画卷。
The Eastern wisdom of "borrowing scenery to enter the scene" is to endow space with the ability to coexist with nature. With light as the boundary, letting the morning light cover the green tiles, it outlines a horizontally extending interface, like a slowly unfurling ink-dyed scroll.
以山为屏,墙面石材以低调谦和之姿铺陈纹理,不抢眼不争夺,静静承接朝晖夕霭,与远山遥遥相望又切切相融,我见青山,青山亦见我。
With the mountains as a backdrop, the stone material on the wall presents its texture in a low-key and modest manner, neither grabbing attention nor competing. It quietly welcomes the morning sunshine and evening mist, facing the distant mountains while also merging with them. I see the green mountains, and the green mountains see me.
“未入园先见景”是江南造园的艺术。
天光倾泻掠过层叠松叶,只余斑驳碎影零落流水之上,水影潺潺间,天光、绿植、水影将室内的极简雅致与室外的山光水色合于一处,相映成趣,形成“人在景中,景再画中”的流动画卷,空间至此已无内外之分,无需移步,已置身江南山水。
"Seeing the scenery before entering the garden" is the art of gardening in Jiangnan. The skylight pours through the layered pine needles, leaving only mottled shadows scattered on the flowing water. Amid the gurgling water shadows, the skylight, green plants, and water shadows blend the minimalist elegance of the interior with the mountain scenery and waterscape of the exterior, creating a picturesque scene where "people are in the scenery, and the scenery is in the painting." The space has no distinction between inside and outside, and without moving, one is already immersed in the landscapes of Jiangnan.
#02空间折叠,藏而不隐
Space folding, hiding but not concealed
下沉庭院不仅是对地下空间的创造利用,而是空间的诗意折叠,折叠天光云影,折叠了山石水木,更折叠了当代艺术与传统景观。
The sunken courtyard is not only a creative utilization of underground space, but also a poetic folding of space, folding in the natural light and shadows, the mountains, stones, water, and trees, and even the contemporary art and traditional landscapes.
创造藏而不隐的含蓄留白,真正的匠心,不露锋芒,只润物无声,将万千气象收于一院,将四时景致纳于方寸,折叠间却见丰盈,回眸间可见江南。
Creating implicit white space that is hidden yet not concealed, true craftsmanship is not about showing off its edge, but about silently nourishing things. It encapsulates myriad scenery in a single courtyard, and incorporates the four seasons' scenery within a small space. Folding reveals its richness, and a glance back reveals the beauty of Jiangnan.
#03木雕为骨,光影为翼
Wood carving is the bone, and light and shadow are its wings
以香山帮木雕工艺为骨,以现代光影为翼,温润的木雕艺术中嵌入冷冽金属,成就一场跨越时空的材质对话,没有传统的繁复雕花,只以香山的层峦叠嶂为灵感,采用螺旋流线造型盘旋而上,延续了阶梯的悬浮感。
Based on the woodcarving craftsmanship of the Xiangshan School as the backbone and modern lighting as the wings, the warm and smooth woodcarving art is embedded with cold metal, creating a cross-time and cross-space dialogue between materials. Without traditional intricate carvings, it draws inspiration from the layers and ridges of Xiangshan, adopting a spiral streamlined shape that spirals upwards, continuing the suspended feeling of the stairs.
光影的把控更为精妙,隐藏于侧的灯带,将木材的肌理渲染得层次分明,从天井倾泻而下的自然光,在黑色大理石表面流动如太湖涟漪,光影随阶梯起伏如溪流奔涌,让空间成为承载光影艺术的容器。
The control of light and shadow is even more exquisite. The hidden light strip on the side renders the texture of the wood in a distinct layered manner. The natural light pouring down from the patio flows like ripples on the surface of black marble, and the light and shadow undulate like a rushing stream along the stairs, making the space a container for the art of light and shadow.
#04洽谈见天地,过道藏春秋
Negotiations reveal the vastness of the world
落座那刻,便成画中人,通透的落地窗成了展开的卷轴,窗外独树向穹苍挥洒遒劲的线条,草色青绿茸茸可人,如此近乎极简的禅意让满室喧嚣归于沉静。
Upon seating oneself, one becomes a figure in the painting, with the transparent french window unfolding like a scroll. Outside the window, a lone tree sprays vigorous lines towards the sky, and the grass is lush and charmingly green. Such an almost minimalist Zen atmosphere calms down the hustle and bustle of the room.
一窗之隔,窗内沙发似错落山峦,是与窗外截然不同的壮阔与磅礴的山河气象,让方寸洽谈区成为一幅可居的《溪山清远》图。
Separated by a window, the sofa inside appears like scattered mountains, presenting a vastly different and majestic landscape from the mountains and rivers outside. This makes the small negotiation area resemble a habitable painting of "Clear and Distant Mountains and Streams".
过道中游弋,如漫游时空经纬,墙体转折是意境的次第展开,每步皆跨越一个美学纪元。
Strolling through the hallway, one feels as if they are wandering through the fabric of time and space. The twists and turns of the walls represent a gradual unfolding of artistic conception, with each step taking one through a new era of aesthetics.
墙体微妙相隔,时连时断,有时是素墙一面,只有斑驳光影游走其间,有时是壁龛细竹一丛,在灯光下投射出清隽的影,行至明暗交界处,更不知下一步是天光乍破还是曲径通幽,或空或满,或亮或幽,皆是东方美学的辩证诗篇。
The walls are subtly separated, sometimes continuous and sometimes broken. Sometimes they are plain walls with only mottled shadows wandering between them, and sometimes they are niches with a cluster of thin bamboo, casting a clear and elegant shadow under the light. When you reach the boundary between light and shadow, you don't know whether the next step will be the sudden break of daylight or a winding path leading to a secluded spot. Whether it is empty or full, bright or dim, it is all a dialectical poem of Eastern aesthetics.
#05清泉流觞,茶酒成诗
Clear spring water flows through the cups, tea and wine become poems
如一方墨玉砚停泊在幽亮交界口,青灰脉络中瞥见亿万年前的流水云烟,光从中浮现,似太湖晨雾初醒,随天候明灭,应时辰流转。
Like a black jade inkstone moored at the junction of the secluded and bright, one can catch a glimpse of the flowing water and mist from millions of years ago within the bluish-gray veins. Light emerges from within, resembling the morning mist of the Taihu Lake awakening, flickering with the weather, and echoing the passage of time.
杯盏相碰间饮下的不仅是茶酒,更是被空间重新酿造的时光,它将兰亭的曲水窖藏千年,和一把今夜太湖新月的清辉,为来客斟一杯名为江南的醉。
As cups and glasses clink together, what is imbibed is not just tea and wine, but also the time recreated by the space. It encapsulates the millennia-old water cellar of the Orchid Pavilion, blending it with the serene glow of the crescent moon over the Taihu Lake tonight, to pour a cup of intoxication named Jiangnan for the guests.
#06稚影逐光,山水天真
Childlike shadows chase the light, mountains and rivers appear innocent
孩童的天地是独立于成人的本真世界,稚儿眼中的江南总是未经雕琢、剪裁、赋意,纯粹而真实,见山即是山。
The world of children is an authentic realm separate from that of adults. In the eyes of young children, the Jiangnan region is always unadorned, uncut, and unimbued with meaning, pure and real, where mountains are simply mountains.
每一声嬉戏欢笑都在香山文脉中荡漾着悠远回响,同时在潜移默化中感受江南人文风景的文化熏陶,成就人与自然的绵延共生。
Every sound of laughter and play resonates deeply within the cultural heritage of Xiangshan, subtly immersing one in the cultural influence of the Jiangnan humanistic scenery, fostering a harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
