The NJU Nanjing-Helsinki Institute was established in April 2022 through a partnership between Nanjing University and the University of Helsinki. We are the firstSino-foreign cooperative education institution in China that provides double degree programs in Atmospheric Sciences for both undergraduate and postgraduate. Drawing disciplinary advantages from two universities in atmospheric and earth sciences, we are dedicated to training talents with the potential to lead in addressing pressing global issues like climate change, sustainable development, while contributing to prosperous global future. We aim to develop a strong team of faculty who are from all around the world and specialize in a variety of research interests (atmospheric sciences and artificial intelligence, socio-economics, ecological health and other disciplines).

We have enrolled our first class of students with a total number of 417, including undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students, and in the future, we will have over 800 students in total. We are committed to creating a brand-new, multidisciplinary cultivation system, with more attention on the cross-disciplinary studies and international exchanges. All courses and lectures are provided in English, and students who complete the program and meet the degree requirements will receive two degrees both from Nanjing University and the University of Helsinki.

We are looking for candidates who have a distinguished record of accomplishment in, but not limited to the field of Atmospheric and Earth System Sciences, and are committed to excellence in research and teaching mainly on Suzhou Campus of Nanjing University. Several Tenure-Track Associate/Assistant Professor positions are open for application. 2. For Tenure-Track Assistant Professors, at least 2 years of research experiences after PhD graduation;

3. For Tenure-Track Associate Professors, at least 4 years of research experiences after PhD graduation (may be further discussed in case of exceptional);

4. Proven record of excellence in teaching and good academic track record for the career stage and international recognition.

5. Under 40 years old, with the date on the valid ID document serving as the basis for age verification. If the applicant already holds the title of associate senior engineer or above, the age limit may be appropriately relaxed.
