Jiangning Campus is located in University Town, Jiangning District, Nanjing, covering an area of 1300 mu, and is a comprehensive center of administration, teaching and research.

五台校区位于南京市鼓楼区五台山南麓，占地120亩，是临床教学和研究中心。

Wutai Campus, located at the southern foot of Wutai Mountain, Gulou District, Nanjing, covers an area of 120 mu and is a clinical teaching and research center.  

常州校区位于常州市武进区西太湖苏澳合作园区内，规划总占地1000亩，是南京医科大学主体校区之一，实行与校本部一体化办学模式，是学校深化“新医科”复合型人才培养和构筑未来医学科研高地的重要阵地。校区内将建成医工结合研究院、转化医学研究院、细胞与基因药物制备中心、医学大数据中心、临床生物样本库中心、医学研究公共服务平台等高水平创新载体。

Changzhou campus is located in the West the Taihu Lake Su'ao Cooperation Park, Wujin District, Changzhou City, with a planned total area of 1000 mu. Changzhou Campus is one of the main campuses of Nanjing Medical University, implementing an integrated education model with the main campus. It is an important battlefield for the school to deepen the cultivation of "new medicine" composite talents and build a future medical research highland.  High level innovation carriers such as the Medical Engineering Integration Research Institute, Translational Medicine Research Institute, Cell and Gene Drug Preparation Center, Medical Big Data Center, Clinical Biological Sample Bank Center, and Medical Research Public Service Platform will be built on the campus.

在2012年教育部全国第三轮学科评估中，基础医学一级学科位列全国第七。在2016年教育部全国第四轮学科评估中，基础医学一级学科获评B+等级（全国并列第八）。此外，基础医学一级学科为江苏高校优势学科建设工程一期、二期、三期及四期项目立项学科；生物学一级学科为江苏省“十四五”重点学科，并于2023年入选江苏高校优势学科（应用转型类）建设工程。

In the third round of discipline evaluations conducted by the Ministry of Education in 2012, the first-level discipline of Basic Medicine ranked seventh nationally. In the fourth round of discipline evaluations conducted by the Ministry of Education in 2016, the first-level discipline of Basic Medicine was rated B+ (ranking eighth nationally in a tie). Additionally, the first-level discipline of Basic Medicine is a project-approved discipline in Phases I, II, III, and IV of the Jiangsu University Superior Discipline Construction Project; the first-level discipline of Biology is a key discipline in Jiangsu Province during the 14th Five-Year Plan period and was selected in 2023 as part of the Jiangsu University Superior Discipline Construction Project (Applied Transformation Category).

学校拥有药学一级学科博士学位授权点、药学专业学位博士授权点及药学一级学科博士后科研流动站。药学一级学科在新一轮学科评估中获评B+等级，是国家“双一流”建设学科的重要支撑学科、江苏省重点学科，并入选江苏高校优势学科建设项目。药理学为国家重点学科，化学学科进入ESI全球排名前1%，药剂与药理学在2025QS世界大学排名中位列独立设置医科大学第一，药学学科在2024软科中国最好学科排名中进入药学前12%。

The university is authorized to offer doctoral degrees in the first-level discipline of Pharmaceutical Sciences, professional doctoral degrees in Pharmacy, and has a postdoctoral research station in the first-level discipline of Pharmaceutical Sciences. In the latest round of discipline evaluations, the first-level discipline of Pharmaceutical Sciences received a B+ rating. It serves as a key supporting discipline for the national "Double First-Class" construction initiative, a Jiangsu Provincial Key Discipline, and has been selected for the Jiangsu University Superior Discipline Construction Project. Pharmacology is a national key discipline. The discipline of Chemistry ranks among the top 1% globally in ESI. Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology ranked first among independently established medical universities in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025. In the 2024 ShanghaiRanking's Best Chinese Subjects rankings, Pharmaceutical Sciences ranked within the top 12%.

学校是国内医工融合人才培养的先行者，起源可追溯至上世纪80年代。2016年获批临床医学工程交叉博士点，2024年新增“生物与医药”专业博士点。学科以“医、工、理深度交叉”为特色，聚焦智能医学材料、装备与信息三大方向，汇聚多学科师资，构建本-博完整培养体系，设生物医学工程等三个本科专业。坚持“服务临床、发展医学新技术”，近两年年均科研经费超3000万元，成果发表于Nature等期刊。建有多个省部级工程研究中心及产学研平台，与华为、迈瑞等企业合作，形成“临床牵引-技术攻关-产业转化”协同模式。

The university is a pioneer in the integrated medical-engineering talent cultivation model in China, with its origins tracing back to the 1980s. In 2016, it established an interdisciplinary doctoral program in Clinical Medical Engineering, and in 2024, it added a professional doctoral program in Biology and Medicine. Characterized by the deep integration of medicine, engineering, and science, the discipline focuses on three research areas: intelligent medical materials, intelligent medical equipment, and intelligent medical informatics. Bringing together faculty from multidisciplinary backgrounds, it has built a complete bachelor-to-PhD training system, offering three undergraduate programs, including Biomedical Engineering. Committed to serving clinical practice and advancing medical technologies, the discipline has achieved an average annual research funding of over 30 million RMB in the past two years, with findings published in journals such as Nature. It has established several provincial and ministerial engineering research centers and industry-university-research platforms, collaborates deeply with leading companies such as Huawei and Mindray, and has formed a collaborative model of "clinical needs-led, engineering technology-driven, and industrial transformation-applied."
