NANJING, China – The "2026 Nanjing Musical Theatre Festival," co-hosted by Nanjing Poly Theatre and Haixiao Culture, officially commenced on January 7. Organizers released the 2026 annual performance repertoire and operational plans, with the original French musical Molière serving as the opening act for a five-show run from January 8 to 11.
南京音乐剧节创办于2020年，旨在通过引进海外原版剧目与扶持中文原创作品，构建城市文化演艺品牌。据官方公布的数据显示，截至2025年底，该音乐剧节已累计引进剧目77部，演出场次超过230场，观演人次近40万。2025年期间，曾上演包括法语音乐剧《摇滚红与黑》及“新·国风”音乐剧《锦衣卫之刀与花》在内的15部剧目共37场演出。
Established in 2020, the Nanjing Musical Theatre Festival aims to build a significant urban cultural brand by introducing original overseas productions and supporting Chinese original works. According to official data, as of the end of 2025, the festival has presented 77 productions with over 230 performances, attracting nearly 400,000 attendees.

在本土原创剧目运营方面，改编自《红楼梦》的中文原创音乐剧《宝玉》公布了最新巡演计划。该剧出品人王海笑表示，《宝玉》在完成首轮13城28场巡演后，将于2026年3月27日至28日在南京开启二轮巡演，并计划赴韩国进行海外巡演，旨在推动中国原创音乐剧的国际传播。
此外，作为IP产业链的延伸，该剧衍生的交响音乐会《问玉》定档3月7日，内容涵盖原剧核心唱段的交响化改编。
Regarding local original productions, the Chinese musical Baoyu (based on the classic novel Dream of the Red Chamber) announced its latest touring schedule. Producer Wang Haixiao stated that following a successful first round of 28 performances across 13 cities, Baoyu will begin its second tour in Nanjing on March 27-28, 2026. Notably, the production plans to tour South Korea, aiming to promote the international reach of Chinese musicals. Additionally, a spin-off symphony concert titled Asking Jade is scheduled for March 7, extending the IP's value chain.
